A Copper grounding plane can be very hand for small jobs, eliminating the need to connect a ground to the work piece. Essentially, the work piece becomes the ground wherever it lays on the Copper grounding plane. A 6 X 6 inch space should provide ample work space. A grounding cable, conveniently attached to the plane, is connected to the welder.
