AIT SLD-20 Reflow Soldering Thermode

The S-20 series thermode is used for heating a large area that is more square shaped than typical hot-bar soldering applications. This hot-bar is designed on a per application basis to match the mounting style of the customer’s machine, and to cover the correct area. The drawing here is provided as a reference only. Understanding AIT part numbers is very simple. Various dimensions on the drawing are represented by letters, which correspond to values in the part number. The beginning of the part number establishes the thermode series and material, followed by various dimensions. For example, part number SLD-20-M -A.400B.030-J9-O is a Molybdenum thermode with an A dimension of .400”, a J type thermocouple 9” long, and an Omega 2 prong plug.
